Teaching & Supervision

Home

Demonstrated managerial and teaching skills in both academic and industry settings.

Academic Guidance and Supervision

  • Supervised 4 master's degree final-year major projects (IIT Hyderabad, India).
  • Supervised 6 final-year undergraduate engineering projects and 3 PhD student (SMIT and IIT Hyderabad).
  • Mentored and guided students on research topics, including algorithm design, hardware implementation, and research methodology.
  • Presently Mentoring 2 PhD students and one master's student in the Computer Science and Electronics Engineering department, University of Essex, UK.

Industry Project Leadership

  • Led a DRDO (Defense Research Development Organization) project focused on designing a compressed version of VGGNET for object classification and tracking.
  • Led a team of 5 engineers on a defence project (DRDO) on digital scene matching application for target tracking.
  • Led teams at Ceremorphic Technologies on various AI/ML projects, including:
    • Optimizing algorithm design for computer vision applications (object detection/recognition, person recognition).
    • Designing an efficient pipeline for distant person detection and recognition in 4K video using GPUs.
    • Developing a novel deep neural design and pipeline architecture for person re-identification in high-resolution video.
    • Creating a fragmented Huffman-based compression methodology for CNNs targeting resource-constrained edge devices.
    • Developing a novel approach in WIFI-CSI based person fall detection.
